Note that the taste will vary greatly depending on the type of milk substituted. If using non dairy milk instead of water to make the vegan pancake batter, either reduce the amount of sugar, or buy unsweetened varieties of the non dairy milk. Otherwise this will result in pancakes that are too sweet. To up the nutritional value of these pancakes, variations can be made by adding fruit to the pancake batter. Blueberries, assorted wild berries, applesauce and bananas are good choices to include in the pancake mix. Whole wheat flour can also be used instead of white flour.
